Summary of water and sanitation major activities or campaigns of the organization since 2000:

1.1”The green telephone” project with the theme “Protecting the Environment is each citizen’s responsibility”, having as partners: The School Inspectorate(SI), Environmental Protection Inspectorate (EIP), “Traian Vuia” secondary school and NGO “Demostene” and which aimed to render the public opinion concerning the protection of the environment – including water and sanitation.
1.2 “Creation of the Corp of the Ecological Guards” project, having as partners EIP, CCC-S, Local Councils, SI and pursuing to develop local public services in the rural area of Caras-severin County, working in the fields of water supply, sanitation and waste management. The outcomes of the project were very good estimated, 10% of the inhabitants living in the rural area of Caras-Severin being beneficiaries of the “guards” even while the pilot phase of the project.
1.3 Overview of the situation of water supply and sanitation in Romania, comprised in a technical report. what represents a true diagnosis of the sector and describing the possible choices.
1.4 Yearly conferences and symposiums occasioned by special days of: water, Earth, environment, protected areas, a.s.o.
1.5 Developing of a resource centre for water and sanitation, project entitled “Resource Centers make knowledge work” in partnership and under coordination of EfE.
1.6 Local Environmental Action Plan for Caras-Severin County in partnership with REC, EPI and many other local stackholders.

We mean to be able to participate in each of the three activities foreseen in the second announcement.

Please, describe briefly how you are going to disseminate the results of the Parliament:

After return home the results of the Parliament will be disseminate by:
- wide presentation in press releases, in county’s NGO Forum and within the framework of County Council debates;
- in the framework of manifestations occasioned by special days of water and environment;
- by developing debates having the theme specific to water and democracy with all the members of “Demostene” Association and performing in some debate competitions at regional and national level.
