YOUTH ECOLOGICAL CENTER named V. I. Vernadsky has more 150 members: pupils, students, postgraduates, school teachers, university lecturers and professors, specialists – biologists, zoologists (ichthyologists, ornithologists, entomologists), botanists, chemists etc.
Our aims are:
? Ecological education;
? Publishing the ecological materials – booklets, brochures, posters, handbooks, etc;
? Organization of the ecological expeditions, festivals, conferences, seminars;
? Performing the ecological actions and projects;
? Interaction with the local population and with the local authorities for solution of the important ecological problems, etc.

Summary of water and sanitation major activities or campaigns of the organization since 2000:

1. During its existence our Organization launched same ecological expeditions with participation more than 1000 pupils total (the coast of the Black Sea, Dniester river, Budak, Burnas, Alibey and Sassyk limans, Dniester delta, etc.), investigated the extent of contamination of near- shore Black Sea water in its North-West part, held some regional and international conferences and seminars, issued some publications devoted to the Black Sea flora and fauna, those of its firths and rivers, as well as studied and description of sites perspective for preserving tourism, ecological education. During summer ecological expedition as well as spring, autumn field practice there were performed the nature preserve actions with taking part of local authorities, population and school-children (trees planting, purification of sweeping, etc.)
2. It was performed basis for a rise reserve statute of landscape reserve ”Limansky”(on the coast of Dniester firth).
3. In 2003 our Organization begins performing the educational and research program -“Small Rivers Program” (the parts of this Program: “Baraboy is the part of Europe too.”, “To create the Down Dniester National Park”

Please, describe briefly how you are going to participate in the project activities (see attached Second announcement) and which of your implemented projects you are going to present during the Parliament itself:

During last 7 years our Organization performs research of the Black Sea coastal zones (including the limans, rivers and wetlands), and carrying out educational activities with local population, schoolchildren and teachers. So your project it is close to our activities.

Please, describe briefly how you are going to disseminate the results of the Parliament:

To perform the Program of the Small Rivers and Wetlands Revival as well as to discuss the ways of the common creation of the ecological (green) corridors.
As small rivers and wetlands play the important role for stable climate and create the necessary conditions for stable biodiversity this Program will help to achievement success on the way to sustainable development.
