Summary of water and sanitation major activities or campaigns of the organization since 2000:

The activity of YEM “BIOM” in the field of education for protection and rational using of water resources began from the moment of creation of our organization. Since that time we provide the series of trainings for schoolchildren, students and different groups of adults (teachers, farmers, NGOs, etc.), for example:" Monitoring and bioindication of water ecosystem", "Protect water in our house", "Water problems and Sustainable Development". (1994 – 2003years.) Within the framework of the project Ecoschool - 2000 we spent in Bishkek city the number of actions "Fresh Ponds", directed on involvement of schools and local communities into solution of water problems. At the present moment together with our colleagues we realize the Central-Asian project " Water as a Source of life " (2002 – 2005 years). This project includes seminars for capacity building of teachers from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan in the field educational activity for rational using of water as well as regional Water competition and creation of manuals for teaches and schoolchildren. Right now we are in the process of development Newsletter, devoted to water problems in Central Asia and ways of their solution.

Please, describe briefly how you are going to participate in the project activities (see attached Second announcement) and which of your implemented projects you are going to present during the Parliament itself:

The participation on parliament will help us to reinforce the activity of our organization in field of rational using and protection of water resources. Besides we would like to share our experience in the field of youth initiatives for water problems solution and present the project "Water as a source of life ". Besides it is very important for us to become acquainted with other young people and their activity.
We would be also very glad to take part in action on clearing lakes and share our experience in organization of such campaigns.

Please, describe briefly how you are going to disseminate the results of the Parliament:

After parliament we plan to organize the meeting with ecological NGOs, youth, teachers and other interested persons, on which will we will tell them about results of water Parliament. At this meeting we also plan to develop common youth strategy, directed on preservation and rational using of water resources. After the meeting we plan to issue the special newsletter with purpose of spreading information about results of Water Parliament, as we think , that it will allow youth of Kyrgyzstan be involved into international youth initiatives for solution of water problems.
